Chicago Brass Band Auditions Deadline: August 31, 2020 We are currently accepting auditions for all sections of the band. For consideration, please send a video recording to: auditions@chicagobrassband.org OR Contact the Music Director to schedule a live audition. Requirements: BRASS 1. IMEA scales . Breath after the 8th note when necessary; at least quarter = 100. All brass instruments, with the exception of bass trombone, should use the treble clef scales provided. 2. Two contrasting own choice pieces, totalling 7-8 minutes. An electronic copy of your solo music is appreciated if the repertoire is outside the standard canon. PERCUSSION 1. An excerpt, study/etude or solo that best demonstrates your skills on timpani and snare drum and mallet instrument Rehearsal schedule for the 2020-2021 season is currently TBD.
